The City of Buchanan has already moved in the direction of consolidation in an attempt to decrease the overall operational costs of their three bus dial-a-ride system. Effective January 1, 2012 the City contracted with Berrien County to operate their bus system. The County in turn subcontracted with their third party operator, Transportation Management, Inc. (TMI), to operate and maintain the Buchanan buses. TMI has operated the Buchanan system since its inception.
